I am very excited, as I will be teaching a group class on site at a busy creative/advertising agency in Koreatown. A couple friends of mine started this company a few years ago, and as is par for the course with ad agencies, there is high stress, intense deadlines to meet. This kind of situation is perfect for me, because most offices (like this one) have a spare room in which they can tuck away a few people. I am, of course, doing the class for free, and would probably do several more for free, to get the experience in.
So far, 10 people have RSVP’d. I have my Ipod speakers, mantra chants on the Ipod, and am planning a wonderful Kundalini set for creativity and communication. I may procure a couple of those tall Mexican candles to set some ambience (and they are pretty safe, too).
On site yoga in the office really seems to be one of the best ways I can connect with people and offer my services. I have spent a lot of time in their world and can empathize. It makes it extremely convenient for employees and (hopefully) they will feel refreshed and able to produce better ideas. I will let you know how it goes and feel free to send me comments about your experiences with this kind of class, either as a teacher or student. 🙂
P.S. I also have a 1-1 consultation with a friend who is recovering from chemotherapy. That will be a whole different kind of learning experience for me as well.
