Laura’s classes are a combination of meditation, breath work and flow leaving you deeply relaxed and connected to the body.

How long have you been teaching and how long have you been working with Chakra 5?
I have been teaching for over 7 years and with Chakra 5 for 4 years

What do you like best about teaching yoga and meditation?
Watching my students float out of class with a relaxed body and peace in their eyes.  Seeing the results on my students is the most rewarding part.

What benefits are your Chakra 5 clients experiencing?
I had a student who had a hip replacement and she said that yoga was keeping her flexible, Another student recovered from a car accident with yoga, and a woman came up to me after class and said that she went to a party in a dress for the first time in years and felt good about her body thanks to yoga class.  Those moments melt my heart because I realize that peoples lives are being affecting in ways I could never imagine.

What are some of the challenges of teaching yoga in a “mobile” capacity?
The noise levels can’t be controlled and some places have carpeting or cement depending on where the company wants us to practice.

What solutions have you come up with to address these?
I tell my students that it is like life, we can’t control what goes on outside of us so staying on the mat, closing the eyes and going within helps.  I work in one place where the lighting is really harsh, so I bring christmas lights and we practice in the dark!  My students love it because it creates this really dreamy atmosphere.

What do you see in the future for Chakra 5 and Corporate Wellness?
I see it as a great way for companies to invest in their employees.   With yoga to keeping the stress,  level down, everyone is in a better place to work as their best selves.
